چکیده
This study proposed a constitutive equation to predict the change in yield strength according behavior of β″ metastable precipitates, which have profound effect on among materials precipitated during T6 heat treatment Al-Mg-Si alloy. The precipitate is phase before it becomes β (Mg2Si) precipitate, and distributed form nano-scale rods aluminum alloy matrix. Existing precipitation strengthening models assume shape be spherical, that case depends Orowan mechanism with average size distribution should dominate. However, precipitates are formed various shapes sizes by anisotropic growth. In particular, rod-shaped not suitable for existing model. this study, an was fabricated gravity casting followed treatment. new proposes affects plastic deformation probabilistically considers Critical Resolved Shear Stress (CRSS), varies depending angle between dislocation when passes through precipitate.

––The solute clusters and the metastable precipitates in aged Al-Mg-Si alloys have been characterized by a three-dimensional atom probe (3DAP) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). After long-term natural aging, Mg-Si co-clusters have been detected in addition to separate Si and Mg atom clusters. During heat treatment, the work piece experiences a range of heating rates depending upon the sizes and types of furnace. When the Al-Si-Mg cast alloy is heated to the solutionizing temperature , recrystallization takes place during the ramp-up stage. The effect of heating rate on recrystallization in the A356 (Al-Si-Mg) alloy was studied using dilatometric and calorimetric methods. Recrystalli...

The microstructural evolution during age hardening of a Cu-bearing Al-Mg-Si alloy has been investigated by the three-dimensional atom probe (3DAP) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) techniques, in order to clarify the effect of Cu on the initial age-hardening response. After 30 minutes of artificial aging at 175 8C, the alloy shows a significant increase in hardness. The TEM observation...

An experimental study is presented on the effect of microstructural change on the Portevin-Le Chatelier effect behaviour of Al-2.5%Mg alloy. Tensile tests are performed on the as received and heat treated (at 400 oC for 16 hours) samples for a wide range of strain rates. The serrations observed in the stress-time curve are investigated from statistical analysis point of view. Microstructures of...
